NOVELTY - A nanocatalyst comprises graphene and metal nanoparticles. The graphene is graphene oxide or chemically functionalized graphene oxide. USE - A nanocatalyst used in organic synthesis and optical drive hydrogen production. ADVANTAGE - The nanocatalyst has excellent catalytic performance, and includes nanoparticles having uniform size. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing the nanocatalyst, comprising mixing graphite and an aqueous solution containing an organic positive mixture of nitrogen gas and hydrogen to dimethylformamide solution; adding metal ion of the graphene oxide; and adding extracting agent to extract organic matter, precipitating, and centrifuging.
