NOVELTY - Preparation of isotropic high-toughness organic hydrogel electrolyte, involves taking polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinyl alcohol/other soluble polymer blend as substrate, preparing a hydrogel by freezing and melting under the action of a solvent and conductive particles, and stretching and shaping the hydrogel. The solvent is a mixed solvent of water and a non-volatile solvent. USE - Preparation of isotropic high-toughness organic hydrogel electrolyte for strain sensors, pressure sensors, capacitors, batteries, ion conductors, and actuators (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides isotropic high-toughness organic hydrogel electrolyte having low internal resistance, high ionic conductivity, and excellent strength and mechanical property. The electrolyte reliably provides high-performance flexible energy storage device.
