▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Producing a one-dimensional self-assembled molecular wire, comprises depositing a dilute thermally activated asphaltene solution on a target location of a substrate under conditions for molecular wire self-assembly. USE - The method is useful for producing one-dimensional self-assembled molecular wire, which is used as low resistance contact in carbon nanotube or graphene-based devices. ADVANTAGE - The method produces high performance, low-cost, solution processed, metallic, self-assembled columnar molecular wire that: exhibits quantum confinement; provides inexpensive ohmic nanocarbon material, which will enable smaller devices with less carrier scattering and thus higher energy efficiency; and has a resistance on the same order or lower than that of copper. The nanocarbon material can be deposited from solution and is an attractive alternative for top down deposition of metallic nanowires and interconnects with low-temperature ballistic transport with higher thermal/oxidative stability than conventional used metals (i.e. copper). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the self-assembled molecular wire produced by the method, where the self-assembled molecular wires have a length of 2-100 mu .
