NOVELTY - Sulfur-containing composite material includes a graphene layer, a nanosheet layer, and sulfur. USE - Sulfur-containing composite material used in a positive electrode of lithium-sulfur battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sulfur-containing composite material has high conductivity, improved rate performance and capacity of lithium-sulfur battery due to adsorption effect of the bimetal oxide on polysulfide and cycle stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Sulfur-containing composite material includes a graphene layer, an XMn2O4 nanosheet layer, and sulfur. X=Co, Zn or Mg. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing sulfur-containing composite material, which involves: (A) adding an aqueous solution of potassium permanganate to an organic alkane in solution; (B) reducing potassium permanganate to amorphous manganese dioxide nanosheets to obtain brown colloidal solution; (C) heating solid to remove solvent to obtain intermediate product amorphous manganese dioxide nanosheets; (D) dispersing amorphous manganese dioxide nanosheets and graphene oxide in an alcohol-water mixed solvent ultrasonically at 50-80 degrees C; (E) volatilizing solvent after adding chloride solution and reducing agent solution with stirring at 20-80 degrees C for 0.1-24 hours to obtain product graphene nanosheet composite; and (F) mixing the graphene nanosheet composite in a mass ratio of 1-9:1 to obtain a graphene ternary composite material.
