▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Rubber composition comprises: 100 pts. wt./100 pts. wt. rubber (phr) of at least one diene-based elastomer; and 20-120 phr of at least one reinforcing filler comprising (a) a precipitated silica or a combination of rubber reinforcing carbon black and precipitated silica (synthetic amorphous silica containing hydroxy groups) together with a silica coupler for the precipitated silica having a moiety reactive with hydroxy groups on precipitated silica and another different moiety interactive with the diene-based elastomer(s), and (b) 0.5-30 phr of exfoliated graphene platelets. USE - The rubber composition is useful as a component of a tire (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The rubber composition: utilizes the exfoliated graphene plate, hence exhibits enhanced reinforcement, and improved electrical and thermal conductivity; reduces the tire component cure time and increases rate of tire production; and provides the tire exhibiting reduced hysteresis, and increased durability and stiff properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Rubber composition comprises: 100 pts. wt./100 pts. wt. rubber (phr) of at least one diene-based elastomer; and 20-120 phr of at least one reinforcing filler comprising (a) a precipitated silica or a combination of rubber reinforcing carbon black and precipitated silica (synthetic amorphous silica containing hydroxy groups) together with a silica coupler for the precipitated silica having a moiety reactive with hydroxy groups on precipitated silica and another different moiety interactive with the diene-based elastomer(s), and (b) 0.5-30 phr of exfoliated graphene platelets having an average thickness of 1-5 nm and an average lateral dimension of 0.1-100 mu m.
