NOVELTY - Solid-state metal battery cell comprises an anode electrode comprising an anode active material, a cathode electrode comprising a cathode active material, and a melt-infiltrated, solid state electrolyte (SSE) ionically coupling the anode electrode and the cathode electrode. The anode active material comprises a metal. The SSE comprises a metal halide and an ionic liquid. USE - Solid-state metal battery cell used in energy storage device, e.g., metal and metal-ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The solid-state metal battery cell has high energy densities, relatively high specific energy, light weight, and potential for long lifetimes, improved thermal stability, chemical stability, electrochemical stability, and has increased energy density and most importantly improved the safety of batteries for electric ground and aerial vehicles, and has cost-effective.
