NOVELTY - Preparation of heavy metal adsorbents involves using graphene oxide, methylene diphenyl diisocyanate and dodecahydroxyurea as raw materials, adding N,N-dimethylformamide as solvent, oxidizing and carrying out crosslinking reaction. USE - Preparation of heavy metal adsorbents for landfill leachate fluids. ADVANTAGE - The method is economical, produces the adsorbents with excellent adsorption capacity which removes the heavy metal ion and purifies the land fill leachate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for application of the heavy metal adsorbent, which involves adding 10-200 mg/L of the adsorbent to the landfill leachate, adjusting the pH to 1-12, heating to 20-100 degrees C to adsorb heavy metal ions in the landfill leachate.
