NOVELTY - A modified graphene-based composite asphalt modifier comprises modified graphene and styrene-butadiene-styrene modifier. The modified graphene is prepared by (1) dissolving graphene oxide microchip in distilled water to obtain graphene oxide microchip solution, and ultrasonically vibrating in an ultrasonic dispersing machine for 10-40 minutes, (2) adding styrene monomer and sodium dodecyl sulfate to the graphene oxide microchip solution, placing the obtained mixed solution in the ultrasonic dispersing machine, ultrasonically vibrating for 30-60 minutes, adding potassium persulfate to oil bath, and reacting at 60-80 degrees C for 2-4 hours, (3) adding hydrazine hydrate to the obtained mixed solution, heating at 100 degrees C, and reacting at constant temperature for 4-6 hours, and (4) cooling the solution obtained in the step (3) to room temperature, filtering using a microporous film, washing alternately with distilled water and acetone 6-10 times, drying in oven at 60-80 degrees C and storing. USE - Modified graphene-based composite asphalt modifier used for preparing modified asphalt (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The modified graphene-based composite asphalt modifier has excellent high and low temperature performance, plasticity, anti-rutting performance, elastic performance, durability, dispersibility, and stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation method of modified graphene-based composite asphalt modifier, which involves separately weighing modified graphene and styrene-butadiene-styrene modifier according to the proportion, crushing the styrene-butadiene-styrene modifier particles, fully mixing the modified graphene and the styrene-butadiene-styrene modifier, stirring, and shearing at 150-200 degrees C for 1-2 hours; and (2) use of modified graphene-based composite asphalt modifier in preparation of modified asphalt.
