NOVELTY - Composite proton exchange membrane comprises a substrate layer and a slurry layer. The slurry layer is coated on the surface of the substrate layer. The substrate layer is a sulfonated Polyether ether ketone(Colorless organic polymer thermoplastic) proton exchange membrane base layer. The slurry layer is boehmite slurry comprising 25-45 pts. wt. boehmite powder, 30-60 pts. wt. large particle diameter core shell polymer and 10-35 pts. wt. conductive material. The large particle diameter core-shell polymer comprises 60-80 pts. wt. deionized water, 10-25 pts. wt. hydrophobic monomer, 1-3 pts. wt. reactive surfactant, 0.5-4 pts. wt. initiator, 4-8 pts. wt. monomer acrylate and 2-3 pts. wt. monomer methacrylic acid. USE - The membrane is useful for vanadium battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The membrane: can improve the strength of the film; has good hydroxy wetting property and is good for proton transmission.
