NOVELTY - Preparing a salicylaldehyde-polyethyleneimine modified rhodamine/graphene oxide paper-based material involves performing a reflux reaction between rhodamine 6G and polyethyleneimine to obtain reaction product. The reaction product in reaction solution are separated and dried to obtain polyethyleneimine-modified rhodamine 6G. The mass ratio of rhodamine 6G and polyethyleneimine is (3-7):(9-21). The polyethyleneimine-modified rhodamine 6G is refluxed with salicylaldehyde to obtain refluxed product. The refluxed product in reaction solution is separated and dried to obtain salicylaldehyde-polyethyleneimine-modified rhodamine 6G and polyethyleneimine. The mass ratio of modified rhodamine 6G and salicylaldehyde is (1-5):(5-25). The paper is soaked in graphene oxide dispersion and dried to obtain a graphene oxide-modified paper-based material. USE - Method for preparing a salicylaldehyde-polyethyleneimine modified rhodamine/graphene oxide paper-based material used for detecting dimercury(2) positive ion in water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare a salicylaldehyde-polyethyleneimine modified rhodamine/graphene oxide paper-based material, which emits obvious fluorescence, and achieves purpose of rapid detection of dimercury(2) positive ion. The reaction product in reaction solution are separated and dried to obtain polyethyleneimine-modified rhodamine 6G. The mass ratio of rhodamine 6G and polyethyleneimine is (3-7):(9-21). The compound A is taken out and dried to obtain final product.
