NOVELTY - Preparing highly dispersed graphene oxide loaded ruthenium catalyst comprises (a) dissolving the ruthenium metal salt in first solvent, mixing to obtain a ruthenium metal precursor solution, where the concentration range of the ruthenium metal salt in the ruthenium metal precursor solution is 1-20 mg/ml, (b) dissolving the graphene oxide in the second solvent, mixing to obtain graphene oxide solution, where the concentration of the graphene oxide in the graphene oxide solution is 0.05-5 mg/ml, (c) adding ruthenium metal precursor solution to graphene oxide solution, mixing, centrifuging to obtain a gel, drying the gel to obtain highly dispersed graphene oxide- loaded ruthenium precursor, where the ratio of the ruthenium metal precursor solution to the graphene oxide solution is 0.02-0.04 and (d) heating the highly dispersed graphene oxide-loaded ruthenium precursor under an inert gas atmosphere and cooling to obtain highly dispersed graphene oxide supported ruthenium catalyst. USE - The method is useful for preparing highly dispersed graphene oxide loaded ruthenium catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has highly dispersed active sites, controllable ruthenium loading, high electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution activity and high stability. The method is simple, green, environment-friendly and pollution-free, easy to control and control; has high yield and has the prospect of large-scale commercial application.
