NOVELTY - Positive temperature coefficient (PTC) nano carbon-coated current collector comprises a current collector base layer, and a PTC nano carbon-coated layer attached to the surface of the current collector base layer. The PTC nano carbon coating layer includes conductive material, and PTC material and binding agent. USE - The collector is useful for a non-aqueous secondary battery i.e. lithium-ion secondary battery. ADVANTAGE - The collector has increases resistance sharply with increase of temperature, blocks the short-circuit current, avoids the thermal runaway caused by the temperature rise inside the battery caused by the continuous discharge of the secondary battery due to short circuit, and improves the safety performance of the secondary battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a preparation method of the PTC nano-carbon coating current collector.
