NOVELTY - A graphite oxide is added to neutral acid or alkali aqueous solution, mechanically dispersed, to form graphene oxide solution. The temperature of graphene oxide solution is adjusted between boiling point and freezing point of water. Then, aqueous solution of reducing agent is added to product, stirred at temperature between normal temperature of water and boiling point of water for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, and allowed to stand still for 2-48 hours, to obtain graphene hydrogel which is then dried, to obtain graphene aerogel. USE - Preparation of graphene aerogel used as double-layer capacitor electrode material, electromagnetic shielding material and thermal insulation material. ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently provides graphene aerogel using simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphite oxide is added to neutral acid or alkali aqueous solution, ultrasonically or mechanically-dispersed, to form graphene oxide solution. The temperature of graphene oxide solution is adjusted between boiling point of water and freezing point of water after the graphene oxide solution stably exists for at least 0.5-24 hours. Then, aqueous solution of reducing agent is added to the product, stirred at temperature between normal temperature and boiling point of water for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, and allowed to stand still for 2-48 hours, to obtain graphene hydrogel which is then dried, to obtain graphene aerogel.
