NOVELTY - Preparing single-layer graphene-coated ferrous disulfide/carbon nanotube composite material, comprises preparing sodium disulfide solution, dispersing graphene oxide in water to obtain graphene oxide suspension, dispersing carbon nanotubes in water to obtain carbon nanotube suspension, dissolving iron sulfite in water and adding ascorbic acid, then adding evenly dispersed graphene oxide suspension and carbon nanotube suspension, and adding sodium disulfide solution to obtain reaction mixture, then refluxing the above reaction mixture under nitrogen atmosphere, cooling the reaction product, solid-liquid separating, washing and drying to obtain final product. USE - The composite material is useful in preparing lithium ion battery cathode (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The prepared lithium ion battery cathode material has high specific capacity, excellent cycle stability, and low cost when compared to the existing cathode material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for use method of single-layer graphene-coated ferrous disulfide/carbon nanotube composite material for preparing lithium ion battery cathode, comprising mixing single-layer graphene-coated ferrous disulfide/carbon nanotube composite material and binder evenly, coating the obtained mixed material on copper foil, and drying to obtain lithium ion battery cathode.
