NOVELTY - Preparing silicon-based composite material involves disproportionating silicon monoxide, uniformly mixing disproportionated silicon monoxide with inert lithium powder and a carbon source, and then performing ball milling to obtain an intermediate. The carbon coating is carried out on the intermediate by adopting a chemical vapor deposition method. USE - Method for preparing silicon-based composite material used as negative electrode material for battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method prepares the silicon-based composite material in a simple, cost-effective and eco-friendly manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing silicon-based composite material involves disproportionating silicon monoxide, uniformly mixing disproportionated silicon monoxide with inert lithium powder and a carbon source, and then performing ball milling to obtain an intermediate.
