NOVELTY - Antistatic polycarbonate (PC) composition comprises 78-80 pts. wt. polycarbonate 70 (PC70), 15-25 pts. wt. glass fiber, 20-30 pts. wt. polyketone/polyamide (PA) blend, 10-12 pts. wt. antistatic agent, 4-6 pts. wt. toughening agent, 1-3 pts. wt. compatilizer, 0.2-0.4 pts. wt. antioxidant and 0.3-0.5 pts. wt. lubricant. The preparation of polyketone/PA blend involves adding 10-15 pts. wt. polyketone, 10-15 pts. wt. polyamide 66 (PA66) and 200 pts. wt. 150-one-wall solvent into reaction kettle, heating to 160-one-wall solvent 170degrees Celsius in the atmosphere of high-pressure inert gas, preserving the temperature for 1-3 hours, then cooling to room temperature at the cooling rate of 1-3degrees Celsius/minute under the stirring condition, and carrying out solid-liquid separation, drying and sieving to obtain polyketone/PA blend. USE - Antistatic polycarbonate composition. ADVANTAGE - The antistatic polycarbonate (PC) composition has performances of high strength, high modulus, antistatic property, and chemical resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing antistatic PC composition, which involves: (1) mixing PC, polyketone/PA blend, antistatic agent, toughening agent, compatilizer, antioxidant and lubricant to obtain mixture; (2) adding mixture into a main feeding port of a double-screw extruder, adding glass fiber from side feeding port of double-screw extruder, and carrying out melt extrusion granulation to obtain high-rigidity high-modulus antistatic PC composition.
