NOVELTY - Graphite based device comprises a substrate (102) comprising a set of zones (102-1, 102-2), a set of graphene stacks (104-1, 104-2), and a feature formed in the first zone. The first graphene stack in the set of graphene stacks is formed in a first zone in the set of zones and comprises a nonplanar graphene layer having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion collectively define a first bending angle. The feature comprises a first surface facing in a first direction and an adjacent second surface facing in a second direction. USE - The graphite based device is useful in self centering devices including conic devices, solar cells, reflection or concentration devices, and antenna arrays. ADVANTAGE - The graphite based device: is simple, cost effective, efficient and highly consistent to laboratories; exhibits improved chemical, mechanical, electronic and optical properties; can produce graphite based structures with controllable and reliable topography; and has the ability to pack structures and devices with high packing density and workable surface area. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphite based device comprises a substrate comprising a set of zones, a set of graphene stacks, and a feature formed in the first zone. The first graphene stack in the set of graphene stacks is formed in a first zone in the set of zones and comprises a nonplanar graphene layer having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion collectively define a first bending angle. The feature comprises a first surface facing in a first direction and an adjacent second surface facing in a second direction, the first direction is other than the second direction, the first portion of the nonplanar graphene layer overlays the first surface of the feature, and the second portion of the nonplanar graphene layer overlays the second surface of the feature.
