NOVELTY - Preparing metal vanadium comprises heating and dehydrating the vanadium source under vacuum condition, heating at 700-1000 degrees C in the molten salt medium and inert gas atmosphere to carrying out reduction reaction, then washing and drying the material obtained by the reaction to obtain metal vanadium, the molten salt is alkaline-earth metal halide molten salt or mixture of alkaline earth metal halide and alkali metal halide. USE - The method is useful for preparing metal vanadium used in aerospace and missile fields. ADVANTAGE - The method has low energy consumption, simple process, short reaction time and low production cost. The metal vanadium has extremely high purity, single phase and uniform particles, and meets the requirements of aerospace.
