NOVELTY - High-efficiency cellulose-based graphene/titanium dioxide (TiO2) composition photocatalyst, prepared by subjecting the cellulose to carbonization-high temperature graphitization to obtain graphitized cellulose, and further subjecting to Hummers oxidation treatment to obtain hydrophilic oxidation product graphene oxide (GO), dispersing GO ultrasound in aqueous solution, adding boric acid (H3BO3) and ammonium hexafluorotitanate and hydrolyzing to obtain light brown GO/TiO2 composition, calcining the GO/TiO2 composition, thermally reducing GO to graphene-type, and immediately enhancing the crystallinity of TiO2 to obtain a cellulose-based graphene/TiO2 composition photocatalyst, using composition photocatalyst to completely degrade and decolore methyl orange solution at a concentration of 10 mg/l in 8 minutes under UV light irradiation, reducing chromium(VI) (Cr(VI)) at concentration of 0.2 mmol/l to low toxicity Cr(III) ion within 30 minutes, and the reduction rate reaches to 54%. USE - Used as high-efficiency cellulose-based graphene/titanium dioxide composition photocatalyst. ADVANTAGE - The composition photocatalyst: has extremely high photocatalytic activity.
