NOVELTY - Substrate comprises a base substrate, a hybrid nanoparticle layer including hybrid nanoparticles (HNPs) formed on base substrate, a titanium dioxide layer formed on hybrid nanoparticle layer and a graphene quantum dots layer formed on titanium dioxide layer. USE - The substrates is useful for UV photodetectors (claimed), biological sensing, nanoscopic imaging, flame monitoring and optical communication and in displays, light emitting device (LEDs), solar cells, various sensors, energy extraction applications, power electronic devices and piezoelectric devices. ADVANTAGE - The substrates is economical, has high-performance UV photodetector, photocurrent, photoresponse high sensitivity, absorption efficiency, fast response, excellent light availability and optical properties, improves photocurrent, photoreactivity and photoresponse, and exhibits strong local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: UV photodetector comprising substrate for UV photodetector and electrodes formed at regular intervals on the substrate for the UV detector; and manufacturing UV photodetector comprising (a) forming a hybrid nanoparticle layer including hybrid nanoparticles on a base substrate, (b) depositing a titanium dioxide layer on hybrid nanoparticle layer and (c) forming graphene quantum dot layer on titanium dioxide layer.
