NOVELTY - Preparation of impact modifier involves removing mechanical impurities from paint slag, mixing paint slag with kaolin, heating the mixture to not less than 800℃ in a high-temperature furnace, maintaining the temperature for not less than 2 hours, naturally cooling and cooling to room temperature, taking out, mixing with nano silicon dioxide and graphene at a high speed, ball-milling for 2-4 hours using a ball mill after mixing, and sieving. USE - Preparation of impact modifier used in resins and plastics (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is environmentally-friendly, simple and feasible, less expensive, excellent development prospect, and an economic and effective method is provided for recycling the paint slag. The solid powder has excellent toughening effect on brittle plastics such as epoxy resin, PVC. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for resin/plastic impact modifier, which comprises 50-100 pts. wt. paint slag, 50-100 pts. wt. kaolin, 10-20 pts. wt. nano silicon dioxide and 3-5 pts. wt. graphene.
