NOVELTY - Oxides-modified carbon black supported platinum catalyst comprises 30-70 wt.% oxide modified carbon black as a carrier. The mono disperse platinum nanoparticle is uniformly dispersed on the surface of the carrier. The oxide is an acid-resistant oxide nano particles which is uniformly dispersed on a surface of carbon black. The particle size of the platinum nanoparticle is 5-20 nm and the mass percentage of the carbon black in the catalyst is 5-30% and the particle size is 1-5 nm. In the oxide-modified carbon black, the size of the oxide nanoparticles is 5-20 nm, and the mass percentage of the oxide in the carbon black is 5-30%. USE - The oxide modified carbon supported platinum catalyst is used in fuel cell cathode oxygen reduction reaction and preparation of catalytic layer (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has high activity and high electro-corrosion resistant oxide modified carbon-supported platinum catalyst for fuel cell. The modification of carbon carrier surface oxide avoids the direct exposure of the carbon material under the high potential, due to the presence of the oxide, the anchoring effect of the carrier to the platinum is enhanced, the dispersibility of the catalyst is improved, the activity of the catalytic activity is improved. The high potential stability and the service life of catalyst are improved.
