NOVELTY - The method involves synthesizing (101) FLTEG. The transition metal nanoparticles are prepared from a precursor. The FLTEG is mixed with the transition metal nanoparticles to produce transition metal nanoparticle doped FLTEG. The transition metal nanoparticle doped FLTEG is hydrogenated (104). The transition metal islands-decorated FLTEG is obtained (106) with room temperature ferromagnetic properties. USE - Method of synthesizing hydrogenated transition metal nanoparticle islands-decorated thermally exfoliated graphene. ADVANTAGE - The magnetic properties of graphene is enhanced.
