NOVELTY - Carbon material dispersion liquid comprises modified spider silk fibroin, a carbon material and a polar solvent, where the carbon material comprises plane graphene having layers. USE - The dispersion liquid is useful for manufacturing a modified spider silk fibroin fiber, and a product including a fiber, a yarn, a fabric, a knit, a braid, a nonwoven, a paper, and a cotton (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The liquid provides small-diameter fibroin fiber easily without requiring a special instrument. The modified spider silk fibroin fiber has excellent heat retention, moisture absorption, heat generation and/or flame retardancy properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a modified spider silk fibroin fiber comprising the modified spider silk fibroin and a carbon material comprising the plane graphene and/or carbon black nanoparticles having an average fiber diameter of less than or equal to 3 mu m; (2) a method for producing the fiber involving (a) forming a raw fibrils from the dispersion liquid; (3) a method for producing a modified spider silk fibroin nonwoven fabric involving forming the raw fibrils from the dispersion liquid, and intertwining the fibrils or modified spider silk fibroin fibers produced from the fibrils, where the carbon material is a single layer or layers of plane graphene; (4) a method for dispersing the carbon material involving mixing the modified spider silk fibroin, less than or equal to 25 parts mass carbon material based on 100 parts mass modified spider silk fibroin, and a polar solvent; (5) a dispersion additive for dispersing carbon material in polar solvent comprising modified spider silk fibroin; and (6) a thinning agent for producing a finely-reduced modified spider silk fibroin fiber comprising at least one of the carbon material.
