NOVELTY - An electronic apparatus consists of a substrate, a graphene sheet (10), a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a gate electrode. Between the source electrode and drain electrode, a column (10N) of openings (10A) which transverse the flow of carrier from the source electrode to the drain electrode is formed. In each opening, 4 or more carbon atoms are removed from the graphene sheet. Each opening has a zigzag shaped edge consisting of 5 or more carbon atoms containing 2 or more carbon atoms having a bond not bonded with another carbon atom. USE - Electronic apparatus. ADVANTAGE - The electronic apparatus is of short channel length and capable of switching heavy current. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An electronic apparatus consists of a substrate, a graphene sheet formed on the substrate through a gate insulating film, a source electrode formed at one end of graphene sheet, a drain electrode formed at other end of graphene sheet, and a gate electrode which applies gate voltage to the graphene sheet between the source region and drain region. Between the source electrode and drain electrode, a column of openings which transverse the flow of carrier from the source electrode to the drain electrode is formed.
