NOVELTY - A photocatalytic composite material comprises carbon nitride, silver and graphene oxide, where the silver particles are embedded in the layered structure of carbon nitride or deposited on the surface of the graphene sheet. USE - The photocatalytic composite material is useful in photocatalytic decomposition of organic dye including rhodamine B (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photocatalytic composite material is capable of decomposing 100 ppm rhodamine B solution within 60 minutes with a degradation rate of 80%.
