NOVELTY - Preparing high heat-resistant liquid crystal polymer (LCP) resin involves: (1) preparing a prepolymer (A) by melt polycondensation of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and hydroquinone; (2) preparing a prepolymer (B) by melt polycondensation of 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid and terephthalic acid; (3) transesterifying the prepolymers (A) and (B) to obtain LCP; and (4) solid-state polymerizing the LCP and an inorganic filler. USE - The method is useful for preparing high heat-resistant LCP resin (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides high heat-resistant LCP resin, which has reduced viscosity through solid-state polymerization with inorganic filler, and improved mechanical strength. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the high heat-resistant LCP resin, which has a melting point of 300-380degrees Celsius, a thermal decomposition temperature of 450-510degrees Celsius, and a tensile strength of greater than 60 MPa.
