USE - The method is useful for preparing aerogel bactericide. ADVANTAGE - The aerogel is simple to prepare and has strong bactericidal ability under visible light irradiation compared with pure titanium dioxidE and no bactericidal by-products and bacterial resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing aerogel bactericide comprises (i) adding 1 g graphite powder into 21 ml concentrated sulfuric acid, mixing well, adding 0.5 g anhydrous sodium nitrate, placing the mixture in an ice bath at 0 degrees C, slowly adding 4 g potassium permanganate under strong stirring, maintaining the temperature not to exceed 20 degrees C, and reacting for 30 minutes, (ii) slowly increasing the temperature of the reaction system to 35 degrees C for 60 minutes, and the solution turns brown in this process, (iii) adding 40 ml deionized water into the above reaction system, maintaining the temperature not to exceed 98 degrees C for 15 minutes, and the solution became brown in the process, (iv) adding 140 ml deionized water into the above reaction system, and adding 10 ml 30% hydrogen peroxide, and the color becomes bright yellow, (v) cooling the solution, centrifuging at 10,000 rotations/minute for ten minutes, washing three times with deionized water, washing twice with absolute ethanol, and drying at 40 degrees C, (vi) dispersing the graphene oxide in water to form a 5 mg/ml graphene oxide dispersion, (vii) taking 4 ml graphene oxide dispersion, adding 10 ml water, 20 mg titanium oxide (P25), 30 mg silver nitrate, ultrasonicating for 2 hours and mixing to obtain suspension, the silver nitrate particles formed at this ratio will not be clustered, and at the same time achieve the best bactericidal effect, and (viii) hydrothermally heating the suspension at 180 degrees C for 12 hours to obtain silver/titanium dioxide/graphene oxide hydrogel, repeatedly immersing in deionized water and lyophilizing. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for aerogel bactericide is prepared by the above method.
