NOVELTY - A graphene oxide/iron nanocomposite tanning agent comprises 40-50 parts mass graphene oxide nanosheet dispersion, 30-40 parts mass ferric sulfate, 10-20 parts mass alkalizing solution, and 0.5-1 part mass dispersant. USE - Graphene oxide/iron nanocomposite tanning agent is used for leather. ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide/iron nanocomposite tanning agent has excellent storage stability, and provides leather which has excellent flexibility, elasticity and bulkiness, and endures aging test. The tanning agent absorption rate reaches 96%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of graphene oxide/iron nanocomposite tanning agent, which involves stirring graphene oxide nanosheet dispersion and ferric sulfate at a pH of 2-3, heating to 85-95 degrees C, adding alkalizing solution, heat-preserving and reacting for 1-2 hours, cooling to 70-80 degrees C, heat-preserving and reacting for 3-4 hours, cooling to 25-30 degrees C, adjusting pH to 3.5-4, adding dispersant, ultrasonically dispersing for 1-1.5 hours to obtain product having ferric sulfate content of 20-25 %mass and graphene oxide content of 0.4-0.6 %mass.
