NOVELTY - The method involves making the gas diffusion layer by filling the pores of the porous framework with a microporous layer slurry and attaching gas diffusion layer to the surface of the porous framework, and sintering gas diffusion layer. The porous framework includes metal mesh and nanofiber mesh. The microporous layer slurry is attached to the surface on one side or the surfaces on both sides of the porous framework. USE - Method for preparing gas diffusion layer for proton exchange membrane fuel cell of membrane electrode (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The gas diffusion layer provided by the present application has a greatly reduced thickness and shortens the mass transfer distance of air, hydrogen, and water. The preparation steps are simple and the cost is low. The battery test proves that the gas diffusion layer has high performance characteristics and has the potential for engineering amplification, which is helpful to promote the commercialization of fuel cell technology.
