▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The membrane has an ion-conducting layer having an ion-conducting polymer and a supported recombination catalyst. The supported recombination catalyst is supported on graphene. The supported recombination catalyst is dispersed in the ion-conducting polymer. The recombination catalyst is platinum, palladium, an alloy having platinum, and an alloy having palladium, or a mixture. The recombination catalyst is supported on graphene-based platelets. The ion-conducting layer does not have supported recombination catalyst. USE - Proton exchange membrane for membrane electrode assembly used in fuel cell and proton exchange membrane electrolyser (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - Thickening the membrane is a conventional way to reduce gas crossover, but thickening the membrane increases ionic resistance which has a negative impact on performance. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows schematic view of the arrangement of membrane layers in a proton exchange membrane.
