NOVELTY - The method of improving dispersibility of graphene in coating material, involves dispersing graphene oxide ionic liquid, modifying pyrophyllite surface, covering surface with copper foil, placing pyrophyllite in dispersion, connecting pyrophyllite, cathode and anode with direct current supply, carrying out electrodeposition of graphene oxide on pyrophyllite layer, obtaining composite filler and adding filler to coating. The preparation of coating involves, taking graphene oxide dispersion liquid, refluxing, adding ionic liquid, potassium hydroxide and ultrasonically dispersing. USE - Method of improving dispersibility of graphene in coating material. ADVANTAGE - The method enables improving dispersibility of graphene in coating material ensuring enhanced mechanical property and improved corrosion resistance by simple and economical process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The method of improving dispersibility of graphene in coating material involves dispersing graphene oxide ionic liquid, carrying out pyrophyllite surface modification, covering the surface with copper foil, placing the pyrophyllite in dispersion, connecting pyrophyllite, cathode and anode with direct current supply, carrying out electrodeposition of graphene oxide on pyrophyllite layer, obtaining composite filler and adding filler to coating. The preparation of coating involves, (1) taking graphene oxide dispersion liquid, stirring, refluxing, adding ionic liquid, stirring, adding potassium hydroxide, ultrasonically dispersing, heating, centrifuging, washing and drying to give a solid, reintroducing the solid into initial amount of ionic liquid to obtain graphene oxide ionic liquid dispersion, (2) using coupling agent to modify pyrophyllite, covering the surface covered with copper foil, infiltrating pyrophyllite in ionic liquid dispersion of graphene oxide obtained in (1), using pyrophyllite as cathode, connecting anode with direct current supply, firmly depositing graphene oxide on pyrophyllite layer after electrodeposition to obtain graphene loaded pyrophyllite filler and (3) adding graphene-loaded pyrophyllite filler obtained in step (2) to the coating material.
