NOVELTY - A porous membrane comprises graphene oxide and L-arginine forming a chemical bond with the graphene oxide. USE - Porous membrane for use in various fields such as ion separation and water purification. ADVANTAGE - The porous membrane has improved flow rate, high efficiency, and can be prepared in simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing porous membrane, which involves providing an aqueous based solution comprising graphene oxide, mixing first additive including 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide in the graphene oxide aqueous based solution, mixing second additive comprising sulfo-N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide with the graphene oxide aqueous based solution mixed with first additive, mixing L-arginine to the graphene oxide aqueous based solution in which first additive and second additive are mixed to form a graphene oxide-arginine solution and utilizing the graphene oxide-arginine solution to obtain the finished product.
