NOVELTY - Recycling waste polystyrene comprises performing the first swelling and dissolving of waste polystyrene and water to obtain polystyrene solution, mixing the polystyrene solution and the first surfactant to obtain mixed material, sequentially performing first cooling and first centrifugation on the mixed material to obtain regenerated polystyrene, the mass ratio of waste polystyrene to water is ≤1:1, and the first swelling dissolving temperature is 140-300℃. USE - The method is useful for recycling waste polystyrene. ADVANTAGE - The polystyrene does not relate to the recovery of the organic solvent, has short operation time, has high efficiency, has no organic solvent in prepared regenerated polystyrene particle, has better product quality, avoids the toxicity of the organic solvent, has peculiar smell and high cost.
