NOVELTY - Hexaazatrinaphthalene monomer i.e. 4,4',4''-(diquinoxalino2,3-a:2',3'-cphenazine-2,8,14-triyl)tribenzaldehyde (I), is new. USE - (I) is useful in carbonyl-based porous organic polymer for anode material of lithium-ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - (I): has multiple redox points, lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy level, smaller band gap, and excellent thermal stability; and improves the charge transport kinetics, and thus improves the cycle stability and rate performance of the battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Hexaazatrinaphthalene monomer i.e. 4,4',4''-(diquinoxalino2,3-a:2',3'-cphenazine-2,8,14-triyl)tribenzaldehyde of formula (I), is new. R = linking group including anthracene-9,10-dione-2,6-diyl, pyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone-2,7-diyl, phenanthrene-9,10-dione-2,7-diyl or anthracene-9,10-dione-1,4-diyl; and n = positive integer. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM are also included for 1. preparation of (I); 2. carbonyl-based porous organic polymer i.e. (diquinoxalino2,3-a:2',3'-cphenazine-2,8,14-triyltris(benzene-4,1-diyl))trimethanimine compound of foormula (T), the porous organic polymer is prepared by reacting hexaazatrinaphthalene monomer as building monomer with a carbonyl compound as a linking group; 3. preparing carbonyl-based porous organic polymer comprising taking (I) as a building block, dispersing in a solution of N,N-dimethylacetamide, mesitylene and glacial acetic acid, reacting with a monomer i.e. diamine compound of formula (H2N-R-NH2), and purifying the reaction product after the reaction to obtain final product, R is a carbonyl compound linking group; and 4. use of carbonyl-based porous organic polymer for anode material of lithium ion battery, comprising combining carbonyl-based porous organic polymer with graphene oxide.
