NOVELTY - Preparing photocatalytic fiber comprises (i) taking 10-20 pts. wt. polymer material, 0.5-3 pts. wt. reduced graphene oxide, 1-6 pts. wt. phosphate, and 75-85 pts. wt. dimethyl sulfoxide, and uniformly mixing to obtain suspension, (ii) taking the suspension obtained in the step (i) and spraying through the spinneret of the dry-jet wet spinning machine, and stretching to 2-6 times by the length of the air bath of 5-40 mm, drawing the fiber in the coagulation bath solution and solidifying into fiber, (iii) dipping the fiber in water at 50-70 degrees C, and stretching for 3-6 times, drying at 50-85 degrees C, and oxidizing in air at 150-260 degrees C for 15-90 seconds to become porous fiber to obtain photocatalytic fiber. USE - The fiber is useful for degrading pollutants from river water (claimed).
