NOVELTY - The membrane (100) comprises a substrate (102) that has pores, and a first layer (106) of graphene platelets supported by the substrate. The graphene platelet of the first layer at least partially fill the pores of the substrate. The substrate is an acid-treated polysulfone. The membrane also has a second layer (110) and a third layer. The first layer and the third layer are hydrophobic, and the second layer is hydrophilic. The second layer has hydroxylated and aminated graphene plateslets. The polymer substrate carries a first electrostatic charge. USE - Graphene membrane for use in filters and filtration. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to make graphene membrane, which has excellent filtration performance, and provides graphene membrane that has excellent hydrophobicity, hydrophilicity, and hydrophilic properties, and is easy to handle and transport.
