▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Impregnated fiber tow comprises one or multiple unitary graphene-based continuous graphitic fibers coated or impregnated with a matrix material. At least one of the continuous graphitic fibers comprises at least 90 wt.% of graphene planes that are chemically bonded with one another having an inter-planar spacing (d(002)) of 0.3354-0.4 nm as determined by X-ray diffraction and an oxygen content of less than 5 wt.%. USE - The impregnated fiber tow is useful in a composite material (claimed), which is useful for the manufacture of aircraft parts, space devices, precision machines, transportation vehicle components, and sporting goods. ADVANTAGE - The impregnated fiber tow exhibits high tensile strength, elastic modulus, thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity, and excellent chemical resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Impregnated fiber tow comprises one or multiple unitary graphene-based continuous graphitic fibers coated or impregnated with a matrix material. The graphene planes are parallel to one another and parallel to a fiber axis direction, and the graphitic fiber contains no core-shell structure, has no helically arranged graphene domains or domain boundary, and has a porosity level of less than 5 vol.%. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a composite material comprising the impregnated fiber tow.
